How the body sensor/WSS works

This video shows how the body sensor of the Wearable Sensory System works. The core of the WSS is a unique wiring technology based on an ultra thin utp cable.

Current body sensors

Existing wearables only measure a single specific activity or bodily value: a wristband which measures the number of paces a person takes, or a chest strap which measures heart rate. Usually there are no demands as regards accuracy. Current wearables art therefore primarily intended for fun or to measure sporting performance.

Added value of WSS

WSS measures several bodily values and environmental factors and sends this data to a control centre for analysis and interpretation. This produces an accurate total picture of the physical condition and safety of the person in question and makes it possible for adjustments to be made immediately wherever necessary.

Monitoring patients and people who require assistance

This video shows how the body sensor is used in a healthcare setting. The WSS measures and monitors the condition of, among other things, vulnerable elderly people and people who need home care.

Current situation

Patients, vulnerable elderly people and others who require assistance due to physical health issues have to be monitored closely. In order to keep an eye on their condition they are connected to tubes and cables which restrict their movement.

Added value of WSS

Using the Wearable Sensory System the medical centre measures and monitors the physical condition of patients: 24/7, wireless and remotely. Because no tubes or cables are necessary, patients feel more comfortable and have more freedom of movement.

Monitoring military personnel and aid workers

This video shows how the body sensor can be used to help keep military personnel and civilian aid workers safe. People like this are regularly in life-threatening situations.

Current situation

Military personnel and aid workers operate in dangerous situations. The environmental factors are unknown and they do not know how they are going to respond physically and mentally to these factors. Military personnel and aid workers are often suddenly confronted by, and have to react immediately to, situations based on their own intuition.

Added value of WSS

Fire chiefs and commanders can use WSS to monitor the physical condition of military personnel and aid workers and the environments they find themselves in. They can then supervise and advise military personnel and aid workers as they carry out their work. This allows them to concentrate 100% and act more effectively.
